Dr. Ellen Crushell, is a graduate of University College Cork and qualified as a general paediatrician prior to further specialising in inherited metabolic disorders with a fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Toronto. She is a consultant paediatrician with special interest in inherited metabolic disorders in Dublin, Ireland. She is an associate clinical professor with UCD. Her clinical and research interests include infantile liver failure syndromes, lysosomal storage disorders. She is the current Dean of the Faculty of Paediatrics at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland where she oversees paediatric training and professional affairs. She was president of the 9th Europaediatrics congress in Dublin in June 2019.
