Primarius Assist Prof Dr Jernej Završnik, MD, spec. ped.


Primarius Assist Prof Dr Jernej Završnik, specialist paediatrician obtained his PhD in the field of Biomedical sciences at the Medical faculty University of Maribor, where he was also elected in the title Assistant professor in the field of paediatrics. He finished high school education in Sioux City, Iowa, undergraduate medical degree and master of science degree in the field of medical sciences at the Medical faculty of the University of Zagreb. His special interest is focused on pediatric cardiology and preventive medicine. He is very active in many national and international societies connected with medicine, paediatrics and general health care and he is also former president of the general assembly of the Medical chamber of Slovenia. He published over 200 scientific and professional papers, and actively participated in numerous national and international conferences as speaker, moderator, as well as an organizer. He is also the past chair of the permanent council for primary care of the European Academy of Pediatrics
